What a project holds
Each project chooses what it may read from your integrations. See Integrations.
The Projects page
Choose Projects in the sidebar, or your Mind's name at the top. The first tile is New project; then comes a tile for each project, pinned ones first. Choose a tile to open the project at its Overview.
- New project starts a project.
- A project tile. Right-click it, or press ⇧ F10, for its menu.
- A folder warning such as Moved or No access. Choosing the tile opens Project settings to fix it.
Create a project
- Choose New project.
- Type a Project name.
- Choose Add to pick the folder on your Mac the project works in, and Add another for more. If you add none, Atlas makes a folder for it in Documents.
- To start from a team template, open Advanced and choose a template under Use a previous template.
- Choose Create project.
If the folder you chose is already a project, Atlas offers Open it instead.
Overview
Overview is where a project opens. A new project may first ask what it is about. Describe it in the box, or choose Skip for now.
Set up, three steps
Set up shows how many of three steps are done:
- Kind of work: Personal, Research, Business, Engineering or Web.
- Team: choose Choose a team, or Change to swap it. See team templates.
- Files in the Mind: choose Update to bring the project's files into your Mind, or Open Files.
Rules, Integrations and Assets are listed beside them as optional. Once all three are done, Overview shows Done, Running and Notifications instead; Set up stays in a corner icon.
Get your agents started
Until the project is set up, the box at the top of Overview asks what the project is about and keeps your answer as its brief. Once it is set up, type and send to start a room with your team. Under the empty box, up to three open tasks are listed under Pick up a task; choose one to put it in the box, then send.
Rename, pin, settings and archive
Right-click a project tile, or press ⇧ F10, to open its menu.
- Rename turns the name into a field. Press ↵ to keep it or Esc to cancel.
- Pin to the top and Unpin. The pin on the tile does the same.
- Settings opens Project settings, where Folders lists the main folder and any others. Use Rebind… if you moved a folder, or Check again once you have fixed access. Remove takes away a folder other than the main one.
- Archive… asks why you are archiving it. Type a reason and choose Archive. No new work can be added, and what the project holds stays readable in your Mind.
To close the open project, choose × beside its name in the sidebar.
Archiving cannot be undone from the app at present. Archive only a project you have finished with.
