Assets

Assets is your library of images, media and files: kept in versions, approved for agents to use, and ready to attach to a message.

Your library and a project's assets

There are two ways in, with slightly different tabs:

OpenTabs
Assets under Your AtlasAll, Media, Files, Global design, Buckets
A project's AssetsAll, Media, Files, From files, Buckets

Assets are grouped by when they were added: Today, Yesterday and Earlier. Use Search, and Filter to show one kind (Images, Video, Audio, Documents, Archives, Other) or your Archived assets.

Add assets

  • Choose Upload files, or drop files on the window. Atlas says where they will go before you let go.
  • In a project, open From files to pick from the project's own files. If Atlas has not read the folder yet, choose Read the files. Choose Add on a file; it then shows In assets.
  • From the Files page, choose Add to assets on the Info tab of a picture, video, sound, PDF or font.

Versions and approval

Each asset can have several versions. The Approved version is the one agents are given.

  1. Add

Upload a file, or a new version.

  2. Review

A card says when a new version waits for approval.

  3. Approve

    Agents now use this version.

Right-click an asset, or open its menu, for Open, Show in Finder, Details, New version…, Approve or Remove approval, and Archive or Restore.

Details lets you rename the asset, see what Atlas knows about it (kind, size, when it was added), add a licence and look through its versions.

Buckets

Connect a storage bucket to browse its files in Buckets. A bucket you connect belongs to the project you have open.

  1. Open Buckets and choose Connect bucket.
  2. Choose the service, Amazon S3 or another S3-compatible service, and fill in the region, bucket, folder, access key ID and secret key. The key is kept in your Mac's Keychain.
  3. With a project open, open the bucket and choose Allow agents to pick which agents may read it.

Disconnect asks before it removes the bucket from your library.

Use an asset in a conversation

Open the Files panel beside a chat, choose View asset library, pick what you need and choose Attach. See Panels beside a conversation.
