Open Design
Open a project and choose Design. For a design every project can use, open Assets under Your Atlas and choose the Global design tab.
- A tile for each part of the design. Choose one to open its page.
- In use and Archived switch what you see; Copy CSS copies the design as CSS.
What each tile holds
- Colour palettes: named palettes of colours, each with its hex value and role. Use Add another colour, and move or remove colours.
- Type and spacing: your fonts and text sets. Find a Google font, or name a font that is on your Mac.
- Spacing, corners and shadows: the sizes the project uses.
- Writing style: how to write, phrases to use, one a line, and sample writing you upload.
- Requirements: what every piece of work for the project must meet.
- Brand identity and Key details: logos and the facts about the project or organisation. Logos are approved in Assets.
Add and change
- Choose Add to on a tile, or open the tile and its item.
- Make your change in the editor beside it.
- Most editors save as you go; the panel shows "Saving…" then "Saved". Fonts open in a dialog with a Save button.
- Back to Design returns to the tiles.
To keep a new item for every project, choose Keep in your library, for every project.
If something cannot be saved yet, for example a colour that is not a valid hex value, leaving asks whether to Keep editing or Discard changes and leave.
Archive and restore
Open an item's menu and choose Archive. To bring it back, switch the toolbar to Archived and choose the item; that restores it.
The app says so. Fonts on your Mac still work; try Find a Google font again later.
