Start

Getting started

From download to your first conversation: install Atlas Mind on your Mac, create your account, choose a plan, connect your AI and open your first project.

The first run at a glance

    Or try persistent memory for free.

  4. Set up

    Choose your project folder, connect your AI apps and install Atlas in them.

    Atlas opens in your first project's room.

Install

  1. Go to Downloads and download Atlas Mind for macOS.
  2. Open the file you downloaded and follow the steps your Mac shows to install it.
  3. Open Atlas Mind and choose get started.

Create your account

With Google

Choose Sign up with Google. Your browser opens; finish there and come back to Atlas Mind.

With your email

  1. Type your address in Enter your Email and choose Continue with Email.
  2. Atlas Mind sends you a six-digit code. Type it in the boxes. If nothing arrives, choose No email? Send a new code.
  3. Tell Atlas what to call you, choose a password, type it again and choose Continue.
If email sign-up is not offered

If the app says it cannot create an account by email, use Sign up with Google instead.

Choose a plan

The plan page, "Time to pick your level of Intelligence", shows Personal, Pro and Team. Choose Continue with on the plan you want, fill in Billing details and pay by card or Link. Payments are handled by Stripe; Atlas Mind never sees your card.

To start without paying, choose Try persistent memory for free. You can change plan later from Settings; see Settings, plan and account. Team is arranged with us directly rather than through the app.

Set up: four tiles

"Let's get started" shows four tiles. Each one reads Not started, In progress, Done, Skipped for now or Needs attention.

  1. Permissions: choose your project folder and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy; the rest is up to you.
  2. Connect integrations: optional; choose I’ll do this later to skip.
  3. Connect your AI: pick the AI apps you use and download any you do not have yet.
  4. Install in your apps: Atlas installs itself in the apps you chose.
  5. Open Atlas appears once Permissions and Install are done.
  1. Permissions. Under Project folder choose where your projects live, and tick I accept the Terms and Privacy Policy. Those two are needed. If you like, allow Notifications, Open at login and Atlas in Terminal. Then choose Done.
  2. Connect integrations. Optional. Connect the services you work with now, or choose I’ll do this later. See Integrations.
  3. Connect your AI. Search for the AI apps you use and select them. Choose Download the selected apps for any not yet on your Mac, then choose Done. If you have no team yet, you are asked to make one; see Agents and teams.
  4. Install in your apps. Atlas starts installing itself in your apps when you finish Connect your AI. If an app is not installed, choose Try again. An app you have never opened needs opening once first; the tile tells you.
  5. Choose Open Atlas.

Your first look around

Atlas opens in your first project's room. "Welcome to Atlas" offers a short tour: choose Show me, then Next, Back or Skip as you go. To take it again later, open Settings, Starting up, and choose Show me under Take the tour.
